Started in 2017 by students of Newman University, Birmingham, Newmag is a magazine for new writers to get their first experience of publication.

David Alexander - Editor-in-chief
David graduated from Newman University in 2018 and is currently undertaking the Creative Writing MA at Bath Spa University. He has had work published in Ellipsis Zine, Cabinet of Heed and (b)OINK.

Phoebe Bastock​
Phoebe Rose Fantham Bastock is an unpublished and amateur short fiction writer currently studying in second year English and Creative Writing student at Newman university, aiming develop skills and confidence in getting original creative writing published and working toward professional editing skills.

Sadiya Iqbal
Sadiya is currently studying for her final year on the English degree programme at Newman University.

David Tomlinson
David is a mature student, returning to education after sixteen years of working in banking. Using his time at Newman to improve his creative skills, he hopes to write full-time in the future.
